What’s the history behind Clearwing Milwaukee? When did the company start?
Clearwing Productions is one of the nation’s premier providers of pro audio, lighting, and video equipment, and production services. For over 40 years, Clearwing has provided creative services and innovative equipment for musicians, venues, sporting events, corporate gatherings, performing arts centers, and houses of worship.
History
As a music hobbyist in the mid 1970s, President/CEO Gregg Brunclik started building speakers in his dad’s basement. Under the name Clearwing Audio, he provided sound at festivals and small music venues in Milwaukee.
After touring with Eddie Rabbitt in the late 1970s, Clearwing went on tour with Blackfoot and Def Leppard and also built a strong base of local customers in the Milwaukee area. In 1985, Clearwing Audio officially became an incorporated company, and in the following years began to expand its client list beyond music and festivals.
Today, Clearwing is a full-service audio and lighting production company with retail stores on-site and online and equipment and crew at events across the country.

What’s been your favorite UE product or development?
So far, our favorite UE product has been the UE 18+ Pros. The clarity, the punch and the sound of these IEM’s are simply incredible. The price tag is worth every penny. Our favorite development is defiantly the Sound Tap. The fact that a musician can tap right into any audio source makes using IEM’s much easier and eliminates costs for other equipment that is often tough to justify.
